Tee It Up ("we", "us") is a golf app for keeping score, handicaps and side games with your group, and this website (teeitupco.com). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Beta waitlist: your name (optional), email address and phone type when you join the list on this website.
• Your account: the email address and password you use to sign in. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
• Golf information you and your club enter: golfer names, GHIN numbers, Handicap Index, courses, scores, fairways and putts, side-game choices, club distances and equipment, payment records between golfers, Venmo / PayPal / Cash App usernames, and comments and reactions on rounds.

Information collected when you use the app

• Location: only while you have GPS yardages turned on, or when you tap "Set this green" or "Find greens". Your location is used on your phone to measure distances. We don't store your location history; we only save a green's position when you choose to set it for a course.
• Saved on your phone: scores waiting to be sent when you have no signal, and display settings such as large text.

How we use it

• To run the app: show scores, leaderboards, games, stats and settle-up to the members of your club.
• To send beta invites and occasional Tee It Up updates to people on the waitlist.
• To keep the service secure and working.

We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads.

Who can see it

• Your club: everything in a club is visible to its members, who join with the club's invite code.
• Live leaderboard links: if a member shares a round's live link, anyone with the link can see that round's golfer names, scores and game results. Sharing can be turned off at any time from the round.
• Service providers that help us run Tee It Up: Supabase (database and sign-in), our website host, OpenGolfAPI (course lookups) and OpenStreetMap services (finding greens; the course name or your approximate location is sent to look up the map). Payment apps (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App) only receive what you send them when you choose to open them.

Your choices

• You can edit or remove golfers, scores, clubs, comments and payments in the app.
• To be removed from the waitlist, or to delete your account and data, reply to any email you've received from Tee It Up and we'll take care of it.
• You can turn off location access for Tee It Up in your phone's settings at any time; everything except GPS yardages keeps working.

Children

Tee It Up isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
